Viña Pomal Centenario Rioja Crianza, Bodegas Bilbaínas£7.45 £10.30 £29
The Tempranillo is vinified in a very traditional way; the grapes are destemmed and crushed and the must undergoes a moderately long maceration. Once alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are completed, the wine is aged for 18 months in American oak.

Beefeater master distiller Desmond Payne MBE experimented with several different techniques before he settled on the recipe for this new pretty-in-pink variant, which is made using the original Beefeater London Dry Gin recipe. One of the oldest gins, first produced in 1793 and one of the only gins with protected geographical location. The British Navy we rationed this gin until Black Tot Day in 1973, so what more proof do you need? Stunning. Recommended with London Essence Company Pomelo & Pink Pepper Tonic and a lemon slice.
The Bath Gin Company was born from the folks at the Canary Gin Bar on Queen Street. Their Bath Gin features a selection of 10 botanicals - Cassia Bark, Lemon Peel, Burnt Orange Peel, Cubeb Berry, Liquorice, Cardamom, Angelica Root, Wormwood, Kaffir Lime Leaf, as well as the necessary Juniper Berry. Warner Edwards Victoria's Rhubarb Gin£8.00
Warner Edwards London Dry is blended with local rhubarb to make this one of the flavoured gins of the moment. The very same rhubarb is grown in the grounds of Buckingham Palace today since the reign of Queen Victoria. Recommended with London Essence Company Ginger Ale and an orange slice.
The Cotswolds Distillery in Stourton is up and running - hooray! This is their Cotswolds Dry Gin, made with juniper, coriander and angelica root macerated in their pure wheat spirit for 24 hours. Following this, they add a botanical selection including bay leaf, grapefruit, lime, black pepper, cardamom seed and Cotswolds lavender to their carter head still for distillation. To bring it down to bottling strength, a robust 46% ABV, they use naturally refined Cotswolds water. Recommended with London Essence Company Grapefruit & Rosemary.
